Annika Jisu is an experienced education professional and school leader with over ten years of experience in counselling, teaching, coordination, and leadership. She currently serves as Assistant Supervisor for Grades 11 and 12 at GEMS Modern Academy, where she oversees academic development, student wellbeing, counselling, and teaching and learning initiatives.
Her expertise includes whole-school wellbeing, student leadership, safeguarding, restorative practices, curriculum development, and instructional coaching. Annika has led the UNESCO Happy Schools pilot, developed data-informed wellbeing programmes, and contributed to initiatives focused on child protection and student mental health.
A certified mental health first aider, restorative practices facilitator, and Level 3 DDSL, she is committed to evidence-based, values-led leadership and creating supportive school environments where every student can thrive.
